Job Title: Overview & Scrutiny Officer Salary: up to £14.00 Based: Central Hackney Temporary – 1 month Start date: ASAP Ref: KEOSC We urgently require a professional, high calibre individual to join a Legal division within a Local Authority. You will be responsible for providing effective and pro-active senior support to a panel and Board members. Main Duties: Project Planning and co-ordinating meetings Supporting policy reviews by councillors Presenting documents of a high quality format Undertake research, analyse and interpret complex data Drafting reports Establish and develop working relationships with members and senior Officers Maintain administrative systems both manual and electronically. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Successful candidates must have well developed communication skills Experience working with senior people in an organisation Has the ability to produce high quality reports using complex data Advanced IT skills using all Microsoft packages Desirable skills Has worked previously within the public sector Has an understanding and knowledge of local government Political awarness and sensitivity Successful applicants will be contacted.
